Tamang Heritage Trek is one of the most popular community-based trekking packages within the Ganesh Himal and Langtang range. It is a culturally rich trial. This trial is populated by the Tamang people who are closer to the Tibetan Culture and tradition as it touches the Tibetan border in the north. This trek takes you to the recently opened trekking trail that offers you the never-ending beautiful scenery of the never-ending Nepalese Hills along with the insight of the traditional Tamang culture and their way of life.

Tamang Heritage Trek blends the tranquil rural scenery and rich cultural heritage of Tamang ethnic hub. Throughout the trek, you will have magnificent views of mountains like Lirung, Langtang Kerung, Chimse Danda ridge crossed by Ganjala Pass, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Paldor peak, Shringi Himal, Manaslu, and Sanjen Himal ranges. The valley is also a paradise for wild animals like leopards, red pandas, and musk deer.

Besides the natural beauty that ignites the ecstasy, passion, and energy for the nature lovers, Tamang Heritage Trek also allows you to immerse yourself in the rich culture of this region. The exposure to the unique culture and lifestyle of the Tamang, their warm welcome, their traditional mountain houses, ancient monasteries, Stupas, chortens, and Gompas makes the trail all more exciting. Further, you will get the opportunity to see the craftsmanship, dress, traditionally built stone-mud houses and the beautifully carved wooden porches in Tamang villages. Accomodation & meal

Most accommodation on the Tamang Heritage Trail will be in small local teahouses, which provide a warm comfortable bed and healthy, filling food. In Briddim, stay at a local homestay, which will also offer comfortable standards but may be a bit more basic.

Food along the Tamang Heritage Trail is much like it is elsewhere in Nepal, with a heavy reliance on rice, lentils and vegetable curries. Momos in this area tend to be a bit different from what you may have tried in Kathmandu. Instead of small, bite-size dumplings, momos here are larger pies that look more like Latin American empanadas, or British pasties. Also, try dhendo, a staple and alternative to rice in many villages of Nepal—cooked maize flour that is mashed up, looking somewhat like refried beans.
